A unique Grade 2 Listed town house with spectacular views over the River Tweed. Step out of the front door onto the Elizabethan town walls and look out over the river, follow the walls around the corner, passing the traditional barracks, museum, art gallery, golf course and towards the beach or wander through the quaint side streets at the back of the house and within three minutes you will be in the centre of bustling Berwick itself with a choice of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops.

On your way back from town, look along Bridge Street at the boutiques, gallery and famous green shop or stop for morning coffee before following the Lowry Trail around the town, spotting the views made famous in the artist's paintings.

Berwick-upon-Tweed enjoys easy access from the A1 and is only an hour from Edinburgh or Newcastle, using the frequently served main east coast line train station which is 15 minutes walk away from Quay Walls. Within a 20 minute drive are some of the most stunning of all the Northumbrian Castles. Not to be missed is a trip to Holy Island, subject to the safe Holy Island Crossing Times, the spectacular Bamburgh Castle, or a trip to the Farne Islands.

Holiday Cottage - Accommodation


The front door gives access to level 2, from the pedestrianised old town walls and opens into a large spacious drawing room with views over the walls to the Tweed Estuary. Furnishings include three sofas, remote controlled electric fire in marble surround. 42" Freeview Digital TV, DVD player and discs, binoculars, books and games including chess set. Bookcase and occasional tables.

The main ground floor access is from the rear through into a large spacious sunroom with cane sofa, dog bed and a wall of windows looking out onto the rear yard.

Large open plan kitchen with stripped wooden floor boards, newly fitted electric range cooker with double oven, large ring gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. Breakfast bar and table with four chairs.

Large atmospheric beamed dining room with polished teak dining table, feature decorative fireplace and a midi system player.

Separate WC with wash hand basin, storage for vacuum cleaner, airer and drying line.

Stairs to drawing room and front door level.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included.

Regret cot, high chair and stair gates are not available.

Private parking for one small car in the enclosed yard or on-street parking available nearby.

Dogs are welcome at the property (2 dogs maximum). A dog bed is provided.
