     The Smithy, a recently refurbished and modernised stone farm cottage benefiting from a wood-burning stove, private garden and patio, is situated near a wonderful farm steading which has been converted into various size cottages of great character, looking over open farmland. (The Smithy can also be booked with The Forge, a small stone cottage at the rear which sleeps 2). Within 10 minutes drive you can find yourself walking the sands at Newton beach, visiting the local bird sanctuary, sipping a pint in picturesque Newton or heading north to Beadnell which boasts a village shop/post office, a choice of public houses and hotels and is only minutes to the beach and harbour. A few miles up the coast and you have Bamburgh with its fantastic beach and historic Bamburgh Castle or you may wish to visit the Farne Islands, only a wee boat trip from Seahouses harbour. For the energetic in the party try the nearby Dunstanburgh Castle golf links at Embleton or wander the miles of public footpaths taking you to villages and beaches along this heritage coastline. Holiday Cottage - Accommodation Shared gravel access to the rear door leading into entrance hall/dining area with table and chairs, tiled floor, hanging rail, boot rack and radiator. The modern fitted kitchen has a tiled floor and is equipped with electric cooker, microwave and fridge/ice box. There is a small step down to the two-seat breakfast bar. Two steps up to the sitting room with wood burning stove and views over garden and farmland. Relax on the two large sofas and enjoy TV, DVD player or choose from books and games kept in a fitted cupboard. The room also has a chair, nest of tables and coffee table. The cottage also has a hall and front door leading to an enclosed south-facing garden with patio and garden furniture. Holiday Cottage - Ground Floor Bedrooms From hall access to: Bedroom 1: double bed, two wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table, radiator. Bedroom 2: twin-bedded, with views across farmland, chest of drawers, TV, radiator. Bedroom 3: accessed from hall/dining area, narrow entrance to single bed, chest of drawers, TV, radiator. Family Bathroom with WC, wash hand basin, shower over bath, radiator. Holiday Cottage - Facilities and Outside Private parking alongside the cottage. The washer, dryer and freezer are all available in a stone outbuilding at the rear of the cottage. Electricity, bed linen and towels all included. Cot and highchair available on request. Ten minutes drive to a choice of fantastic open sandy beaches - either north to Beadnell or south to Newton by the Sea - try a different beach every day ...
