A unique 5* luxury log cabin in the middle of Lowick village with local village shop, post office and 2 pubs serving meals, all within easy walking distance.

Willow Cottage was completely refurbished to a very high standard in early 2007 and has a warm spacious atmosphere with local artwork displayed throughout the cottage. The owner, a local artist, has her studio gallery at the rear of the property and, along with her husband, has made the log cabin into a cosy retreat for two.

Lowick is ideally placed only ten minutes' drive from the dramatic Northumbrian coastline and the Causeway at Holy Island (see Holy Island Crossing Times ), where you can trace the roots of Christianity in Britain.

Close at hand are the un-missable villages of Ford and Etal with quaint cottages, working water mill, light railway and the only thatched pub in Northumberland, Black Bull - definitely worth a visit.

Lowick is only ½ hour away from Alnwick, home to The Duke of Northumberland at Alnwick Castle and the much talked about Alnwick Garden.

Just 15 minutes northwards is the historic town of Berwick Upon Tweed with its famous vistas, castle walls and salmon fishing.

The area is well known for birdwatching, walking and golfing.

The decked patio area which leads round to the utility room, is decorated with many potted plants and has table, chairs and gas BBQ. The utility/boliler room has airing facilities, washing machine and wash hand basin.

Flagged path on a gravelled drive with hard standing at the base of the ramp for ease of access if required.

Electric safe in the property for guests' use.

Internet connection.

Local food products can be pre-ordered from the owners, ready for arrival.
