It is less than 200 yards to the sandy beach which stretches for miles southwards - for the adventurous, there is a coastal footpath linking Beadnell with Alnmouth and the beautiful Heritage Coastline.

Or just five minutes walk northwards and watch the busy west-facing harbour with rocky coves beyond. Beadnell has an outdoor sports centre for water activities, village shop, post office, a choice of pubs and hotels with restaurants.

Not to be missed is a boat trip ( with Billy Shiels ) from Seahouses harbour - 2 miles away - to the nature reserve of the nearby Farne Islands - in nesting season watch the puffins and terns - and on the way see if you can spot a seal.

Or just sit on the balcony with a book and watch the world go by!

Holiday Cottage - Accommodation

Front door access to inner stairway up to first floor. Entrance hall with shoe and coat racks, airing/storage cupboard. Sitting/Dining room with laminate flooring and large rug, picture windows facing over paved court toward sand dunes behind, sofa bed, chairs, bean bags, occasional tables, dining table with 4 matching chairs (+ 2 folding chairs), TV/video/DVD and music centre, CDs, Videos, DVDs, games, books, local maps, binoculars and guide books. Coastal photographs adorn the walls.

From the sitting room there is access to a balcony with garden chairs, views over sand dunes to beach beyond. Fully fitted, cream-coloured kitchen with electric cooker and hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge and freezer.

Bathroom with shower over bath, shower screen, wash hand basin and WC. Light, mirror and shelf over the wash hand basin.
