North Sunderland, adjoining Seahouses, is a peaceful residential setting, away from the commercial centre yet still within walking distance of Seahouses Harbour where boat trips can be taken ( see Billy Shiels ) to the National Trust's Farne Islands Bird Sanctuary.

The road north takes you to picturesque Bamburgh, 3 miles away with its landmark Bamburgh Castle, miles of golden beaches and variety of hotels, pubs and coffee shops.
