A practical, spacious end terrace cottage, with amazing views across farmland to Bamburgh Castle.

Letterbox Cottage is on a quiet country lane only two miles from Bamburgh and within yards of a network of public footpaths taking you inland or towards the coast. Not surprisingly the cottage has an old Georgian letterbox, large enough for your postcards, in the end wall, from which regular collections are made.

Bamburgh is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and the village is overlooked by a stunning medieval fortress which is iconic in the region. Bamburgh Castle is one of the most important archaeological sites currently under excavation in northern England and is well worth a visit. The village itself has lots to offer the holidaymaker including, pubs, restaurants and unique shops.

During the nesting and summer season why not take a trip by boat from Seahouses Harbour to watch and listen to the sea birds of the Farne Islands.

A visit isn't complete without sampling a local delicacy - Bamburgh Bangers - the famous sausages from Carter's butcher's shop are delicious for breakfast!

Holiday Cottage - Accommodation

There are two steps up through the front door into an entrance hall, giving access to the sitting room with views to the front over the large enclosed garden. There is an open fire with additional electric fire, sofa and chairs, TV and DVD player and phone for incoming/emergency calls.

A separate large dining room overlooks the garden and also has an open fire with additional electric fire. There are cupboards along one wall, a radio and a selection of books to enjoy.

A kitchen with views of Bamburgh Castle! It is equipped with electric cooker, washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a pantry cupboard.

There is a small porch with hanging space leading to the back door. Outside there are steps down to the coal house and shared rear access from the road.

The ground floor bathroom is fitted with electric shower over bath, heated towel rail, wall heater, WC and wash hand basin.

Holiday Cottage - Upstairs

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: Kingsize bed, bedside tables, drawers, views over garden and towards the coast.

Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom, chest of drawers, with views towards Bamburgh Castle.

Bedroom 3: Triple bedroom plus cot with views over garden and towards the coast.

Holiday Cottage - Facilities and Outside

£50 discount per week for all 2-week bookings taken through the year. Please ring for details.

Ample parking for at least three cars on the drive.

Fishing nets hanging in the rear porch for guests' use during their stay.

Dogs are welcome at the property (maximum of 4 dogs).
