A practical, spacious end terrace cottage, with amazing views across farmland to Bamburgh Castle.

Letterbox Cottage is on a quiet country lane only two miles from Bamburgh and within yards of a network of public footpaths taking you inland or towards the coast.Not surprisingly the cottage has an old Georgian letterbox, large enough for your postcards, in the end wall, from which regular collections are made.

Bamburgh itself, famous for the miles of beautiful sandy beaches, dramatic cliff top Castle and close to The Farne Islands and Holy Island (see Holy Island Crossing Times ) is also home of the heroine Grace Darling and has a selection of hotels, restaurants and cafes to browse.

During the nesting and summer season why not take a trip by boat from Seahouses Harbour to watch and listen to the sea birds of the Farnes.

A visit isn't complete without sampling a local delicacy - Bamburgh Bangers - the famous sausages from Carter's butcher's shop are delicious for breakfast !

Two steps up through front door into entrance hall, giving access to sitting room with open fire and additional electric fire, sofa and chairs, TV and DVD player, views to the front over the large enclosed garden, incoming/emergency outgoing phone.

Separate large dining room also with open fire and additional electric fire, cupboards along one wall, selection of books, radio, window overlooking garden.

Kitchen: electric cooker - with views of Bamburgh Castle! Washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Pantry cupboard.

Small porch with hanging space, back door with steps down to coal house and shared rear access from the road.

Ground floor bathroom with electric shower over bath, heated towel rail, wall heater, WC and wash hand basin.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1 : Kingsize bed, bedside tables, drawers, views over garden and towards the coast.

Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom, chest of drawers, with views towards Bamburgh Castle.
