A delightful cottage set in a tranquil country setting. The cottage is full of character and enjoys views in all directions, over farmland, the Cheviot Hills and towards Thrunton Woods.

This cared for cottage is spacious but cosy and provides an ideal base to relax for the day or from which to explore. Rothlea is only 10 minutes drive from Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland, visit Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Garden, Museum and the famous Barter Books second hand bookshop. Rothbury, with small local shops and lovely views is only quarter of an hour away, drive past The National Trust's Cragside House and Gardens along the way.

The coast and Cheviot Hills are within 20 minutes or perhaps you'd prefer to enjoy walking from the property up to Thrunton Woods or an hour's circular walk around the village.

Steps down to glazed entrance porch.

Solid oak door leads to compact hall and open-plan large sitting room with beamed ceilings, log burning stove in a huge stone fireplace, sofas, TV, digi-box, video, selection of videos, snug area behind the fireplace, views to countryside. Down two steps to hall with access to shower room, with airing cupboard, heated towel rail, wash hand basin & WC.

Fully fitted kitchen/diner with electric cooker, glass ceramic hob, washing machine and walk-in pantry with microwave and fridge/freezer.

Rear porch with glazed door.

Step down to an enclosed shared yard with open views.

Bedroom 1: Double Bed, sloping ceiling, wall of fitted wardrobes and panoramic views.

Bedroom 2: Single Bed, sloping ceiling. Views over open farmland.
