This end terrace property, for adults only, is a small but beautifully formed gem in a very quiet location. Hidden away down a small lane in the pleasant village of Shilbottle, central for coast and country. The property has been sensitively restored in the last few years, retaining all the character of a stone workman's cottage.

It will be a struggle to fit in all that is on offer on your holiday. You are only a few minutes' drive away from Alnwick the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, where you can visit Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden with its own Tree House restaurant, 'Poison' garden, café and shop.

Alternatively you may wish to go to the coast and visit one of our small but beautiful villages. Warkworth -- with its own historic ruined Warkworth Castle -- or Alnmouth with a most spectacular beach, links golf course, restaurants and shops all of which are only a few minutes' drive from Hawthorn Terrace.

In Alnwick you will find Barter Books reputedly the largest second hand book shop in the country where, if the weather is inclement, a large open fire and coffee await you.
Shilbottle, set in open countryside can offer you a pub, shop and post office all within walking distance from your cosy accommodation.

Entering at the rear of the property one step up takes you into a tiled double glazed sunroom, on into a modern light fitted kitchen. This well-equipped room has: electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and tiled effect floor.

The sitting room has views to front garden, wood burning stove, TV, DVD, games and books. This is a warm welcoming room which has a dining area with table and four chairs.

Family bathroom accessed from the sitting room: Bath, over bath shower, wash hand basin and WC, shelf, towel rail and tiled floor.

Front porch with glazed door, providing access to enclosed garden.

Holiday Cottage - Bedrooms

Bedroom 1: Off the sitting room a twin bedded room with chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside table and fitted carpet. Views to rear paved garden.

Bedroom 2: Double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and fitted carpet. There is a feature cast iron fireplace and, as with all the rooms, Baton latched doors. Views to front garden.
