Holiday Cottage - Burn Bank - Near Belford, Belford and Wooler

This carefully modernised single storey end terrace cottage, frequently used by the owners, is a cosy retreat in a rural setting.

Situated on the edge of a working farm just outside Belford Village, the cottage offers open countryside views, spectacular walks from the doorstep, either along the lanes or following the footpath beside the stream up onto the moor behind, and a relaxing atmosphere to come home to. The cottage is served by spring water, not mains water.

Belford, less than two miles away, has a choice of pubs, hotel, newsagent, mini supermarket and craft shop with small gallery. Only a ten minute drive away is the small village of Chatton, where the Percy Arms offers home-cooked food and welcoming atmosphere. Why not call in on the way home from a day trip seeing Chillingham Castle, the Cup and Ring Marked Stones on Chatton Park Hill and the Wild Chillingham Cattle all of which are only a short drive away.

Holiday Cottage - Accommodation

Steps up at the front of the cottage to a small porch with coat hanging and shoe storage.

Go on through to a small tiled hall leading to a modern fitted galley kitchen with views to the front. The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with icebox, washing machine, night storage heater and radiator.

Step up to a generous sized sitting room with log-burning stove set into a stone fireplace, stripped pine furniture, sofa and chairs, TV, DVD player and a selection of books, games and puzzles to enjoy.

The sitting room leads through to a spacious airy conservatory with panoramic views over the fields to the west. Furnished with pine table and chairs and CD player, there are also French doors with a step down to the small patio area and enclosed grassed garden.

Holiday Cottage - Ground Floor Bedrooms


Bedroom 1: ground floor good sized room with king size bed, large stripped pine wardrobe, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and towel rail. Step down to small en-suite shower room with large shower, WC, wash hand basin, fan heater and shaver point.

Bedroom 2: ground floor room with twin beds, stripped pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table.

Step down to family bathroom with shower over bath, WC, wash hand basin, fan heater, heated towel rail and shaver point.

Fuel for solid fuel central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included.

Patio and grassed garden to the rear overlooking open countryside.

Ample parking for two cars.

Although children are welcome, regret cot, high chair and fireguard are not available.
