Holiday Cottage - Boatman's Cottage - Low Newton, Newton By The Sea

Low Newton by The Sea is the quintessential Northumbrian seaside hamlet. Largely preserved by The National Trust, the village is an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with views to Dunstanburgh Castle, sandy beaches to wander along, wildlife pond with hide to spend hours marvelling at nature, and the quaint Low Newton Square with whitewashed stone cottages and a popular pub serving home cooked food - particularly recommended is the local lobster or the fishcakes!

Boatman's cottage is a semi-detached property, in a quiet side street off the main hill just yards from the beach and square.

The property, which is furnished to a very high standard and split over four levels, sleeps six and, with its wood burning stove, maintains a cosy character for smaller parties.

Holiday Cottage - Accommodation

Step up through the front door to a small entrance hall with coat hanging, then to steps leading down to the main living area and up to further bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor towards the front and is the smallest of the bedrooms with a double bed with access on one side, drawers under and wardrobe space. Wet room with shower, WC and wash hand basin. Understairs cupboard with shaped low level door giving access to washer/dryer.

The lower ground floor is a modern open plan living area with views towards the sea from the sofa. There is a wood burning stove, huge plasma TV sited in the chimney breast, Blu Ray DVD, CD and radio also available. The panoramic floor level window has views to patio/garden area and over neighbouring gardens inland towards open country or eastwards towards the sea.

The stone tiled kitchen area has granite worktops, five ring gas hob, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher,

French doors open out to the patio/garden which also gives access to the parking area on the slope to the side of the house.

Bedroom 2: master bedroom with views from the double bed out over the wooden balcony to the sea, spacious hanging wardrobes, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point.

Bedroom 3: larger room with twin beds under sloping ceiling, Velux windows with black out blinds, wardrobe and drawers.

Upstairs to family bathroom with double bath, WC and wash hand basin.

LPG central heating.

Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Initial supply of logs available - more logs can be purchased locally.

Gated grassed garden to the rear with patio area. Parking for two cars on the sloping drive.

Travel cot available on request - children are welcome but regret high chair and stairs gates are not available.

Large flat screen TV in each bedroom. I-pod docking station, Sky and Wifi . Beach and pub 2 mins!
