What a wonderful house, absolutely gorgeous. Lilly (our Labrador) explored the pond ! 3 times, she was not in our good book. After drying off and being tied up for a while she settled down and was on her best behavior. Beautiful afternoon and had a barbecue. Saturday visit to Farne to see the Puffins, brilliant day. "Billy Shiel" tours. Sunday - beach and barbecue. Monday - Lindisfarne, we could have stayed longer but the kids were worried we would be stranded with the tide. Stopped for lunch at the "Barn at Beal" Owl sanctuary. It was brilliant, really friendly and the bird flying was great. Tuesday - Beach Wednesday visit to Bamburgh Castle. Was really great morning and my Mum & Dad were really looked after and being disabled could park "in" the castle grounds. Thursday Seahouses for tea at the Bamburgh Castle Inn Hotel (with Lilly) they allow dogs in! Well we do not want to go home, we have had a brilliant holiday. House is very well equipped love the BBQ hut even though the weather was great and sunny. Pool table went down well. Would love to have a return visit. |

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. It lacked nothing. The barbecue was great when the weather did not permit us to sit outside! The pool table was enjoyed by everyone. We made full use of the excellent Butchers Shop in Bamburgh. There was many places to visit - Lindisfarne, Seahouses, Alnwick - we even did a day in Edinburgh. The beach at Bamburgh is fabulous - the children loved playing in the dunes too. A great family get together! |

We had a fantastic week. The house was nice and comfy and just the right size for the 8 of us (2 kids). We used to live in this area so it was great to see all of the places we remember such as the Copper Kettle in Bamburgh and the Windings beaches..... we had great food courtesy of Carter's Butchers - bangers a plenty! Try The Barn @ Beal, the Craster to Dunstanburgh walk and if it rains Alnwick and Berwick have enough tea shops to satisfy. |
The Brown Family, Aug 2010

Beautiful house, very comfortable and spacious, a pleasure to visit. Fab beaches. If you have dogs the best place is to go down the Windings, ample parking fresh water river for them to swim in and drink from when they get too hot..... Loved the BBQ shed. Thank you. |
